In order to solve the problem of the garbage dump in the Cherkes-Kutan area, located south of Makhachkala and which is polluting the atmosphere of the city, efforts are being made to include it in two federal projects simultaneously.

According to Saniyat Bilalova, the deputy minister of natural resources and environment of Dagestan, the agency is working on including this landfill in two federal projects at the same time - "General cleaning" and "Clean air".

The land on which the landfill is located is currently encumbered, preventing it from being included in the federal "General Cleaning" project. Some of the land is leased from the "Zhivotnovod" company, but the cooperative is willing to make this land available for reclamation work.

Recall last year in Dagestan 4 landfills were reclaimed under the national project.
