On the eve of the Russian Press Day, Dagestani prime minister Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov attended the opening ceremony of the first bookstore of the state-owned Publishing House "Dagestan" in Makhachkala.

The top official pointed out the importance of preserving the book publishing industry and increasing the number of stores for the sale of book products. Currently, more than 300 books are presented in the store. The Publishing House plans to expand the network of stores. Dagestan Publishing House is a subordinate of the Information and Press Agency of the Republic of Dagestan.

After the solemn opening ceremony, Abdulmuslimov got familiarized with the book exhibition where fresh editions and memoirs of contemporaries in circulation from 500 to 10 thousand copies were presented.

The head of the Publishing House, Umarosman Gadjiyev conducted a study tour for the gusts of the opening ceremony.  Gadjiyev spoke about the record number of books published and the need to promote the popularity of reading.
