The recent ICBM test conducted by Russia has caused confusion worldwide due to its similarity to missile tests previously seen in the Middle East. On April 12, 2024, the Strategic Missile Forces' combat crew successfully launched an intercontinental ballistic missile from a mobile ground-launched missile system at the 4th State Central Intermissile Range Kapustin Yar in the Astrakhan Region.
The launch was part of state tests of advanced missile complexes and confirmed the stability of the missiles in service.
