The official opening ceremony of the Visitors’ center has been attended by the representatives of the Directorate of Dagestan Nature Reserve, Magaramkentsky District Administration, Dr. Dmitry Smirnov, a professor fr om Penza University, Yuri Bykov, a researcher from NP "Meshchera" and Mikhail Rodionov - one of Russia's best cameramen, who shot many films about protected areas in Dagestan.

Kurban Kuniev, director of Dagestan Nature Reserve expressed gratitude to the leadership of the municipality for their support in creating the ecological and educational complex. In turn, the Acting Head of the District, Feyruddin Ragimkhanov, noted that the center would become a destination for residents and visitors of Magaramkenty municipality and would give a new boost to tourism development.

The official part was followed by a tour of the eco-trail and the multimedia Visitor Center of the National Park, wh ere you can get acquainted with the natural and cultural attractions of both the coastal and mountainous areas of the Samur National Park.
