Dagestan has emerged among the top destinations in Russia known for its stunning floral displays. The republic of the North Caucasian Federal District is renowned for its early and picturesque blossoms in the spring.

During this season, apricot groves in Dagestan come to life, bursting into bloom in late March or early April, lasting for a span of ten days. The buds of these trees unveil a display of pink petals reminiscent of cherry blossoms, creating a breathtaking sight.

There are several scenic locations where one can witness this natural spectacle. Among the most celebrated sites, experts have identified the villages of Gonoda in Gunibsky municipal district and Gotsatl in Khunzakhsky municipal district. Dagestan holds the leading position in Russia when it comes to apricot cultivation, boasting approximately 5,000 hectares of orchards that yield an annual harvest of around 30,000 tons.
