Manas, December 5, 2014. On December 3, a governmental delegation headed by Dagestan Head’s Envoy Alibek Aliyev visited refugees from Ukraine placed in the "Lezzet" resort, a source in the ministry of labour and social development told RIA "Dagestan".
The delegation included minister of labour and social development Malik Bagliev, deputy minister of agriculture Shagmir Bakharchiev, and officials from the Dagestan Forestry Committee, the ministry of state property management, and the Dagestan office of the Federal Migration Service.
Dagestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov had tasked the officials to deal with refugees’ issues on a daily basis, and at each meeting, he had them report on the situation with refugees in Dagestan.
Currently, about 200 IDPs from Ukraine are having shelter in the resort. They are mostly from Donetsk and Luhansk regions. All this time, the republic's leadership has provided them with every possible assistance. Considering the forth-coming winter days, the official guests brought sets of warm clothes and footwear for adults and children and some daily necessities. The delegation also provided money for buying household appliances and promised to solve the problem of poor Internet.
The refugees thanked the guests and the republic’s head for their constant support and assistance.
