Dagestan plant starts testing module to combat drones

JSC Concern KEMZ located in the republic of Dagestan has started tests of a module to combat drones. According to the plant's representative, the development of the combat module, which is designed to repel drone attacks was started in 2022.
"We intend to complete the tests by the end of 2023. The main purpose of the tests is to assess the effectiveness of the module to defeat and eliminate enemy combatants, as well as enemy drones," - the representative of the enterprise says.
At the same time, the module's operation is based on a radio capable of receiving primary data on drones from any army radios and locators. In general, the complex consists of an optoelectronic unit, a digital computer system and drives for the gun and automatic target tracking. The cannon can be remotely controlled using a radio signal or cable.
