Botlikh Radio Plant in Dagestan, in collaboration with scientists from Novosibirsk State Technical University, plans to develop wind turbines for supplying energy to the Arctic regions. According to Igor Raskind, head of the company's branch, the technological plan for launching production and design documentation is currently being finalized.
Thus, the project proposes the creation of a mobile wind turbine that can be installed on a site using a quickly assembled base. The power of a single unit can range from 50 to 100 kilowatts (kWT). There are batteries and controllers that control the operation of the rotating units depending on wind strength. The researchers have a better understanding of how it will function in ultra-low temperatures and suppose the possibility of creating a single wind farm and remotely maintaining equipment in the future.
After preparing the project documentation, it is planned to submit it to the tender held by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.
