Dagestani physician Fatima Tamayeva, president of Dagestan Association of Mammologists and Radiologists, was the sole representative of Russian specialists in mammology and radiology at the ECR 2025 European Congress of Radiology in Vienna.

This event, bringing together thousands of experts from across the globe, focused on the role of radiology in scientific advancement, sustainable development, and societal impact, with a particular emphasis on the integration of AI into diagnostic practices. Tamayeva additionally attended a private gathering for professionals working with the advanced breast ultrasound system Invenia ABUS.

Through the use of the Invenia ABUS apparatus, Dagestan conducts more than 4,000 examinations annually, identifying approximately 3% of tumors that would have remained undetected through other methods. Tamayeva underscored the significance of such events in fostering knowledge exchange and integrating cutting-edge technologies into clinical practice.
