DSTU holds competition dedicated to 70th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War
Makhachkala, April 16, 2015. Dagestan State Technical University’s department of information technologies and applied informatics in economy of the faculty of information systems is holding an open competition of students’ creative works on "Great Patriotic War in the history of my family" as part of commemorating the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the press service of the university told RIA Dagestan.
The competition features categories such as photo essay, poetry (the best reciter of a poem about the war), drawing, and historical essay (presentation). The contest aims at military and patriotic education of students, deepening students' knowledge about the Great Patriotic War, drawing attention to the deeds committed in time of war by the Soviet people, our ancestors, relatives of students' families, impeding falsifiers’ attempts to rewrite the history of war against fascism and the outcome of the Great Patriotic War, and preventing the influx of extremist, Nazi and fascist banners over our country.
April 13, one of the groups held a competition in the historical essay with presentation. The students talked about the historical events, about their relatives who fought for the motherland, for the victory, and the survivors of those killed in this war.
The winners will be awarded with memorable gifts and participate in the scientific and practical conference "For the Sake of Motherland" to be held April 28-29 in DSTU.
