Makhachkala, February 25, 2014. Prospects of developing the higher education in the NCFD have been discussed in Pyatigorsk. As the press service of Daghestan State Technical University told RIA "Daghestan", the chairman of Daghestan Rectors’ Council, DSTU Rector Tagir Ismailov took part in a meeting on developing the higher education in the NCFD and in a working meeting of the NCFD Rectors’ Council.
"The expanded session of heads of all higher education institutions operating in the NCFD brought together officials from the Russian Education and Science Supervision Agency, the Ministry of Education and Science, officials from the Plenipotentiary Mission of the Russian President in the NCFD, and Chairman of the Russian Rectors’ Union, Rector of the Lomonosov Moscow State University Academician V. Sadovnichiy," - the source said.
The main topic of the discussion was "Control and supervision of educational institutions and prospects of developing the higher education in the North Caucasus Federal District".
At the meeting, participants heard reports by Chairman of the NCFD Rectors’ Council, Rector of the Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University A. Gorbunov, Head of the Department for maintaining programs of developing leading universities at the Department of Higher Education State Policy of the Russian Ministry of Science and Education S. Sorokin, Head of the Board of Supervision and Control of educational institutions and scientific organizations of the Russian Ministry of Science and Education S. Bannikov, and his deputy D. Bondarenko.
Participants assured they were ready to offer their higher education projects and work out techniques to reach their goals.
Later in the day, they discussed the preparations for the next congress of the Russian Rectors’ Union scheduled for late March, 2014, within a working meeting of the NCFD Rectors’ Council attended by the union members - heads of higher education institutions.
