Sales of tours to Dagestan have decreased by about 10% compared to Monday of the previous week, but bookings are gradually returning to normal levels.

According to Sergei Romashkin, the vice-president of the Association of Russian Tour Operators (ATOR) and director general of Dolphin tour operator, tourists may take a short pause before purchasing a tour to Dagestan in order to monitor the situation.

The expert also noted that about 80% of summer tours to Dagestan have already been sold, so the impact of this negative event on the summer or overall tourist flow will be minimal - no more than 1-2%. Based on his forecasts, tourist arrivals to Dagestan this year will increase compared to last year.

The press service of the Intourist tour operator has confirmed that there has been a slight decrease in the sales of tours to Dagestan. However, they emphasize that this will not have a significant impact on the overall results of the summer season. The company official says that new reservations are being made. Although tourists still ask about the safety of visiting Dagestan, the company assures that the situation in the republic is now more stable.

Recall the events of June 23rd, when militants attacked several locations in the region. The company expresses its condolences to the families of those affected. In response to this tragedy, a three-day period of mourning has been declared in Dagestan. Families of the victims have also been provided with material assistance.
