Temirlan Amirkhanov won a gold medal at the All-Russian tournament "Cup of Russia" in Greco-Roman wrestling in the town of Bora, Nizhny Novgorod region. About 600 athletes from more than 50 regions under the age of 18 compete in the tournament.

Dagestani free style wrestler became the best in the weight category up to 65 kg. The athlete trains under the guidance of senior coach Alimedet Ismailov. The victory in the tournament will allow Amirkhanov to enter the Russian junior national team.

It should be noted that another Dagestani wrestler - Maksud Aliyev - became the bronze medalist of the tournament in the weight category up to 60 kg.
