Rugby player Bayzat Hamidova to perform in World Series in Canada
Makhachkala, April 17, 2015. Dagestan native Bayzat Hamidova will participate in the fourth stage of the World Series Rugby-7 among women’s teams to be held on April 18 - 19 in Canada, the told senior coach Magomed Gadzhimagomedov told the RIA "Dagestan".
"The coaching staff of the combined team of Russia included 12 players (Bayzat Hamidova among them) in the application for the Canadian stage. Bayzat’s elder sister Navrat has been preparing hard to return to the first team before the stage in Canada but, unfortunately, once again traumatized. Now she is under special treatment in Moscow. I’d like to see her recovered to work out in the latter stages of the World Series"- Gadzhimagomedov said.
In the group stage in Canada, the Russian rugby players will compete with Canadians, U.S. women and the athletes from South Africa. Lately, the Russian team took the 7th place in the standings after three rounds before the end of the World Series.
Let us remind, the current World Series serves as qualifying round for the Olympic Games. However, the Russian women's team lost all chances to qualify for the main start of four years after the World Series. The only possibility to get to the Games - 2016 - is to participate in the games of the European Championship, won by the Russian team is the last two years.
