Russian President Vladimir Putin chaired a government meeting on the creation of seaside resorts as part of the federal "Five Seas and Lake Baikal" project. The Head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, took part in the event too.

Recall, the "Five Seas and Lake Baikal" project provides for the construction of resorts on the Baltic, Azov, Black, Caspian and Japanese Seas. The new tourist complexes are to be completed by 2030.

The main goal of the project is to increase domestic tourism up to 140 million trips. The Caspian Coast cluster is an element of this federal project. Its construction will begin in 2025.
