Khasmagomed Djavatkhanov made a successful start at the International Boxing Tournament "Great Silk Road" in Baku. Dagestani boxer, competing in the 86 kg weight category, defeated Palestine's Iqbal Umais by technical knockout in the first round.

"The trainers asked me to box longer to get my breath back, but somehow it worked out. However, the main opponent in my category is a local boxer, Murad Allakhverdiev. We can only meet in the final. I hope so, and then the ring will show who will win”- Djavatkhanov confessed after his victory

The winner of the tournament will be announced on March 28.
