Road builders in Dagestan have completed the construction of a 3.6 km long road "Derbent bypass". The project includes a 450-meter flyover, several interchanges and exits. On the first kilometer, the road crosses the Samur-Derbent Canal. The project also includes the construction of a single-span reinforced concrete bridge over the canal. After the road is completed, the residents and guests of the republic will be able to easily reach the tourist center of the city. The new road will help to ease traffic congestion at the main entrance to the city. The initial cost of the project was estimated at RUB 606 million. Mostootryad-99 JSC is the main contractor for all the work.
