As to Aidar Bayramov, the head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia across the Republic of Dagestan, the number of tax-registered tourist accommodation facilities in Dagestan has increased by 37 per cent compared to last year.

Besides, the amount of tax revenues from taxpayers providing places for temporary accommodation as of 1 May this year amounted to RUB 48.5 million, which is 13 million more than in the same period last year.

Experts also say about significant growth in the number of cheques made by the control and cash register equipment. In 2023 it increased by RUB 310 million and amounted to RUB 1.2 billion. This year, too, there is a positive dynamic. For today, there are 17 sanatoriums, 164 guesthouses, 103 tourist centres and 366 hotels in the region.
