In the first month of autumn, the aggregate balance of Dagestani residents' accounts in banking institutions amounted to a staggering RUB 138,250 million. However, during this period, there was a notable decrease of RUB 277 million fr om the previous month's total.

According to data published by the Bank of Russia, four out of seven regions in the North Caucasian Federal District — Dagestan, Ingushetia, Karachay-Cherkessia, and North Ossetia — were among the twelve regions across the country wh ere there was a decline in deposit volumes in September. Conversely, in Stavropol Krai, for instance, the deposit amount increased by nearly RUB 6 billion, reaching RUB 478 billion. Interestingly, the last instance of such a decline in Dagestan occurred in 2020.
