Following a recent tragic incident at a filling station in the region (in August 2023), the local authorities have initiated comprehensive inspections of all petrol stations in the republic of Dagestan. The inspections will continue until July 1st. Preliminary findings from previous inspections indicate that many gas stations fail to meet safety standards. As a result, 437 stations have been temporarily closed until safety concerns are addressed.
