At a recent meeting convened by the Republican Headquarters to address preparations for the upcoming autumn-winter season, Said Sultanov, Deputy Director and Chief Engineer of Dagenergo branch of PJSC ROSSETI Northern Caucasus, provided an update on the region's electrical grid infrastructure.
Sultanov highlighted the advancements made in enhancing the capacity of Dagestan electric grid to accommodate anticipated summer peak loads in 2025. As of June, capacity increases totaling 89 MVA had been achieved through improvements at thirteen substations.
Furthermore, Sultanov outlined a comprehensive plan to mitigate potential consumer restrictions during peak summer demand periods. This initiative entails further capacity expansions at several additional substations by June 30, 2025.
In anticipation of winter loads, Sultanov also revealed plans to replace thirty transformers across the region. This proactive measure aims to minimize potential disruptions and optimize substation configurations during the autumn-winter period of 2025-2026.
