Artist from St. Petersburg to exhibit paintings in Makhachkala
Makhachkala, September 9, 2016. On September 10, Makhachkala will host a personal exhibition of Dagestan artist Shikhshabek Kadiev entitled "Touching the angel’s wing". The visitors will see more than 50 works - landscapes, still-life paintings and portraits.
This year is special for Shikhshabek Kadiev: avout 35 years old passed since Kadiev graduated Dagestan Art College and in November Dagestani artist celebrates his 55-year jubilee. It so happened that in 1983, Kadiev left Dagestan and moved to Leningrad. Having enraptured with the beauty of the northern capital, Kadiev lives and works until now there. Sometimes, Dagestani artist comes to visit his relatives in the native village Mamedkala in Derbent region. This time, the artist arrives in his native land with a creative exhibition.
"I have long dreamed to pay tribute to my native Dagestan, my parents and teachers, but now I got it. Although I’ve prepared for this important event, but I am very worried, "- Kadiev said.
Shikhshabek Kadiev is one of the most active members of Public Association of Dagestani artists "Open Palm".
"Kadiev has always been involved in the creative exhibitions of both municipal and the international levels organized by the Union of Russian Artists. His attitude, responsible attitude can serve as a role model for his colleagues and countrymen, "- the chairman of the People's Artist of Dagestan Arsen Kardashov concluded.
