Last Sunday, Izmailovsky Park in Moscow hosted a festival of traditional culture of Dagestani peoples titled “Journey through Dagestan” organized by the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Dagestan to the President of the Russian Federation. The event was attended by over 30 thousand visitors. Guests enjoyed performances by rope walkers, participated in masterclasses in Lezginka dancing and carpet weaving as well as visited an exhibition of Dagestani paintings and handicrafts. They could also sample traditional cuisine.
