The prime minister of the Republic of Dagestan Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov met with the master Arif Suleymanov at the exhibition-fair of folk crafts at the "Keepers of Tradition" festival in Derbent.

Suleymanov started the revival of carpet weaving as a hobby but later turned it into a profession. Arif dyes threads with natural colors and creates carpets. He gathers information about the ancient techniques from elders and old literature, as well as tests plants for their dyeing abilities. The master recreates ancient patterns that are later brought to life by skilled craftsmen.
