Dagestan first time represented at Eurasian Women's Forum

For the first time since its founding, the Eurasian Women's Forum (EWF), which annually brings together participants fr om more than 120 countries, has welcomed a representative from Dagestan. Emilia Radjabova, the deputy Mayor of Makhachkala and Head of the Education Department, addressed the IV EWF held in St. Petersburg on September 18 - 20.
Speaking at the plenary session on "New Solutions for Urban Development", Emilia Radjabova pointed out the significance of tourism as a catalyst for urban development and cross-cultural exchange. Radjabova noted that Makhachkala serves as a "mini model" of Russia, wh ere diversity in terms of nationalities and religions is harmoniously balanced. The promotion of international and interregional links will help to unlock the region's full potential and foster its growth. According to Radjabova, Dagestan leadership has been actively promoting the tourism sector in recent years, and the republic has a variety of attractions that can be showcased.
The final document of the Forum which addresses the heads of state, government, parliament, heads of public and international organizations, and the UN, encourages progressive women's organizations around the world to play an active role in shaping a more equitable world order based on respect for diversity, balance of power and the interests of all members of the international community.
