The construction of an impressive 35-meter flagpole is underway near the monument to Hero of the Soviet Union Elmurza Dzhumagulov in Khasavyurt. The flag of the Russian Federation will fly on it, symbolizing the unity and patriotism of the city residents.

The project is implemented thanks to support of the Youth Affairs Ministry of the Republic of Dagestan, which received a grant for the installation of flagpoles under the federal program "Region for the Young". The program aims at developing the urban infrastructure and create comfortable environment for the local residents. The new flagpole will become not only an architectural decoration of Khasavyurt, but also a symbol of regional identity and pride in one's country.
