This summer, experts of the Tutu travel service explored different regions of Russia to find out where rare fruits are grown. They visited Ufa and Saratov, where they found real tropical conditions, Sochi, with its tree that produces 45 different types of citrus fruit and the Far East, where actinidia can be found. Dagestan was also included in their list of unusual locations.
So, in the south of the republic one can see how persimmon, pomegranate, passion fruit and many other things grow in a private botanical garden in Samursky forest.
The botanical garden was founded by scientist and plant breeder Teymur Khabibov. The man enjoys welcoming guests, sharing information about his plants and offering them herbal tea. He has brought plants from various parts of Russia and around the world, attracting visitors from all over the country. The garden also has an ethnographic museum featuring antique exhibits.
