Dagestan has been included into the top list of Russia’s regions with the biggest number of fines for traffic violations, the regional traffic police reports.

In total about 237.6 million fines were issued last year, which is 18.1% more than the year before. Approx. 92% of violations were detected with the help of traffic cameras. The number of photo and video fixations of violations on the roads increased by more than 8% and amounted to 29.2 thousand.

The leading cities in terms of the number of fines and violations on the roads are Moscow and the Moscow region. Here 30% of all violations in Russia occur. Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Krasnodar Krai and Dagestan follow next.
