Lecturers of the Zoology and Physiology Department of Dagestan State University Lyudmila Mazanaeva and Uzlipat Gichikhanova have visited the exhibition "Feathered Travelers: on the Wings of BRICS" at the Zoological Museum of the Institute of Zoology of the Russian Academy of Sciences in St. Petersburg.

The event featured unique works of participants of the All-Russian environmental contest "Flora and Fauna of the BRICS countries". The exhibition focused on migratory and wintering birds of Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Egypt and Ethiopia. The project was not only a platform to showcase the richness and beauty of the avifauna, but also a step towards raising environmental awareness in society.

DSU scientists also took part in the II Congress of the Russian Association of Himalayan and Tibetan Researchers, where key problems and research directions were discussed. Special attention was paid to the technical aspects of research. Dagestani scientists had an opportunity to review the results of renovation of the laboratory and collection complex of the Zoological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
