Albert Batyrgaziev is set to return to the ring in mid-February of 2025, his manager Eduard Kravtsov says. Dagestani fighter will defend his interim WBA featherweight title, which he won in summer.

According to Kravtsov, Albert's upcoming bout is slated for mid-February and will serve as an optional defence of his interim world championship. “Subsequently, on March 1st, we anticipate the Roach-Batyrgaziev showdown, the outcome of which will determine when we can expect a fight for the full championship against Lamont Roach” – Kravtsov noted.

Batyrgaziev last fought in October, successfully defending his IBA title.
