Dagestani para-taekwondo practitioners gain medals at European Championship
Makhachkala, November 28, 2014. Dagestani para taekwondo practitioners, acting for the Russian national team, won one gold, two silver and three bronze medals at the European Championship, held in the Turkish town of Belek on November 24 to 27, the press service of Dagestan ministry of physical culture and sports reports.
According to the source, Magomedzagid Isaldibirov (75 kg) the only Dagestani sportsmam became the European champion, Seville Abdulova (49 kg) and Magomed Magomedov (75 kg) took the second place. Maryam Salimgereeva (58 kg), Zaynutdin Atayev (75 kg) and Zaira Irazieva (58 kg) became the bronze winners of the competition.
In the overall medal standings para-taekwondists of Dagestan helped the Russian team to take the first place. The athletes had been selected for the European Championship among the winners of the Russian Championship, held in the city of Berezniki, Perm region in the end of 2014.
