Dagestani wins gold at World Championship in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu held in UAE

Makhachkala, April 19, 2017. Dagestan sportsman Rashid Kaitmazov acting in the weight category up to 77 kilograms won the World Championship in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu among youth, held in the United Arab Emirates. Dagestani athlete won gold in one of the most prestigious versions of Brazilian jiu-jitsu - UAEJJF, in which 71 athletes competed.
On the way to victory, Kaitmazov held seven victorious fights. Two more Dagestanis won medals for the Russian national combined team. Muhammad Temeyev acting in the weight category up to 62 kilograms won the third place. Uvais Nazhuyev acting in weight to 85 kilograms won the bronze medal. In total, about seven thousand young athletes from more than 100 countries of the world competed for the championship titles in Abu Dhabi.
