The world competition brought together representatives of 12 countries’ armies: Angola, Armenia, Belarus, China, India, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Russia, Serbia, and Venezuela. Each country had 4 crews: three chief crews and an alternate. They were the 3 member teams: a commander, a gunner and a driver-mechanic.
The championship had a few steps: an individual race, a sprint race, and a pursuit race. In the standings, team Russia was the first; in the individual total, the best crew was the Russian team headed by Marat Halikov. Each member of the winning crew was awarded a modern Russian offroader by Russian defense minister Sergei Shoigu. Halikov said that in this very car, he was going back home to Daghestan where his family was waiting for him.
