Chelyabinsk, October 21, 2014. Daghestan’s Zemfira Magomedalieva won the Russian women's boxing tournament named "World Women's Boxing Stars" that was taking place in Chelyabinsk over the weekend, her coach Sokhrab Manapov said in an interview with RIA "Dagestan".
The first fight with St. Petersburg’s Anna Milikhova turned out to be an easy one for Zemfira. But she had to put out her strength against a London Olympics participant, honoured master of sports Nadezhda Torlopova of Kostroma.
The victory in the tournament guaranteed Magomedalieva her qualification for the world championships scheduled to run November15-25 in South Korean capital Seoul.
Another Daghestani Saadat Abdullayeva now representing Moscow also performed in Chelyabinsk. In the 69 kg weight, she beat Zarina Halayeva of Kemerovo in the first round. In the second round, Saadat opposed her archrival Irina Pateeva of Nizhny Tagil. Upon consultation, referees pronounced Pateeva the winner.
