Daghestani judoka to perform at junior world championship in United States

Makhachkala, October 23, 2014. Mahachkala’s Gamzat Zairbekov has become a member of the Russian national junior team to participate in the world championships scheduled to run in Miami, USA, October 23-26, says the Russian Judo Federation’s website.
Zairbekov will perform in the 55 kg weight because this year, the trainee of Haibula Cheherov and Akhmed Magomedov won 2 bronze medals of the Russian championship in Yekaterinburg in March and the European Cup in St. Petersburg in April.
At this year’s junior championships in the United States, the Russian team will have 10 athletes. In 2013, Russian juniors won three gold medals and finished second in the team standings following the founders of Judo – Japan – at the world championships in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
