Senator Suleyman Kerimov Among Top Five Richest Russians in Forbes Ranking

Senator from Dagestan Suleyman Kerimov ranks fifth among Russia's wealthiest businessmen in the Forbes global ranking for 2026, with an estimated fortune of $25.7 billion—representing an increase of $9.3 billion over the past year, according to RBC. A total of 155 Russian citizens entered the global ranking this year, nine more than in 2025th edition. Kerimov has been representing the Republic of Dagestan in the Federation Council since 2008. Prior to that, he served as a State Duma deputy from 1999 to 2007, initially with the LDPR faction and later with United Russia. He was awarded the Order of Friendship for his active participation in the country's socio-political life.
