According to data provided by the Ministry of Agriculture in Dagestan, more than 224 thousand tons of melons will be harvested in Dagestan this year (an increase of 20 percent compared to last year).

The crop was harvested from an area of 7.5 thousand hectares, with an average yield of 299 c/ha. The regional agrarians managed to harvest 224.2 thousand tons of watermelons and melons from this area, the Ministry official says. In 2022, the total harvest made 187 thousand tons.
