The area of orchards in Dagestan has reached almost 30 thousand hectares. The largest hazelnut, pear and dogwood orchards in Russia have been planted.

"More than 1.5 million tons of vegetables are harvested annually in Dagestan. The republic's contribution to cabbage production is noticeable even at the world level. In 2023, the republic had a record potato harvest of 356,000 tons. The rice harvest also became a record, increasing by 15% compared to 2022 - more than 155 thousand tons" - the regional Ministry of Agriculture reports.
