In 2023, the foreign trade turnover of the Republic of Dagestan increased by 21%. This information was announced at the regular meeting of the Export Council headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan Rizvan Gazimagomedov.

The deputy Prime Minister also pointed out that exports in this period increased by 38% and imports by 9%. This increase in export and import operations testifies to the competitiveness of Dagestan products in international markets and the availability of potential.

The main trade partners of the republic remain Iran, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, as well as far abroad countries - Turkey, Iraq, China. The largest volume of supplies is cereals, such as buckwheat, barley, oats, corn and rice, with an increase of 2.9 times. The main consumers of these goods are Iran, Emirates, Azerbaijan, Pakistan and India. Besides, the products of flour and cereals industry were supplied to Iraq, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, where the volumes increased by 32%.
