In the Northern Caucasus, the fertilizer market remains one of the most promising sectors of the agro-industrial complex, which is currently experiencing a surge of activity. The local specialists are tasked with increasing crop yields and resistance to adverse conditions. The use of fertilizers is an effective way to increase yields, which is widely used by farmers and agricultural companies all across the North Caucasian Federal District. The complex includes crop protection against pests, mineral fertilizers and chemical amelioration.

The export of fertilizers is a significant item of budget revenue of the republic of Dagestan. The largest chemical plant operates in the town of Kizilyurt. Under an investment project it is planned to reconstruct the existing production facility and build facilities for the production of new liquid products - mineral fertilizers in the form of simple and double superphosphate, extraction phosphoric acid and qualified phosphates on its basis with a total capacity of more than 100 thousand tons per year. The investment portfolio makes RUB 739.3 million.
