In particular, the construction of a new solar power plant in Derbent municipal district is expected to be completed at a cost of about 6.5 billion rubles. The investment project is being implemented by Solar Systems, which will enable the commissioning of a station with a capacity of more than 100 MW.  It is expected that the new power plant will supply energy to about 25 thousand households and create 30 permanent jobs. A land plot of 305 hectares has been allocated for its construction without a bidding procedure.
