On November 1, 2024, the cumulative number of tourists visiting the republic surpassed 1,695,000, marking a remarkable increase of 4.9% compared to the corresponding period in 2023.

Dagestan is one of the fastest-growing tourism destinations in the Northern Caucasus. It is worth noting that the regional hospitality industry primarily focuses on creating attractive tourism product for the domestic visitors. Nonetheless, there has been a significant increase in inbound tourism in recent years, with visitors coming from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, China, Germany, Georgia, the United States, and various Arab countries.
