Garment factory in Dagestan manufactures products for Special Military Operation

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov visited Lavantel sewing factory in Khasavyurt and together with Islam Khasanaliev, the enterprise director, toured the buildings, warehouse and shop with goods for sale.

The factory is engaged in sewing bedding, personal protective equipment (protective medical coveralls, plague-proof gowns, shoe covers, masks and so on), as well as products for servicemen – the participants of the Special Military Operation (sleeping bags, underwear, balaclavas, thermal underwear). The volume of its production for 2023 amounted to 128.2 million rubles. The products are in demand both in Russia (Moscow, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don) and abroad, in particular in the CIS countries (Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Armenia and others).

Inspecting the goods presented, Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov proposed the top-managers to receive fibres from Samarkand and Bukhara region of the Republic of Uzbekistan considering that Dagestan Government would assist in establishing cooperation. Besides, in order to expand the existing production capacities of the factory, the investment project "Modernization of production of garments and textiles" is being implemented. The volume of investments amounts to 22 million rubles and assumes the creation of up to 50 jobs.

The Prime Minister also visited the textile factory CORO HOME, located near Khasavyurt. The factory has been functioning since 2019, having started its work with one sewing machine. For 5 years of work, the factory has brought production volumes up to 300 million rubles per year. Now home textiles are produced here. Not so long ago they started producing packaging products. All products of the enterprise have the appropriate certification.

As to the factory director Koramagomed Guchuchaliev the production is steadily loaded, finished products are supplied both to the regions of the country and for export: Moscow, Ivanovo, Pyatigorsk, Kazakhstan, Armenia (approx. 90 % is exported and 10 % sold in local market. Abdulmuslimov instructed the regional Ministry of Industry and Trade to work out measures to support the factory, using the capabilities of the existing development institutions.
