Shooting of the feature film "99th" - a military drama about the real events of September 1999 has begun in the village of Chokh, Gunib municipal district. The plot of the film is based on the heroic deed of militiamen and OMON commanded by Tagir Dazhaev and Sergei Golovin, whose detachment was sent to Novolaksky district to strengthen positions.

It was in this direction that the separatists invaded Dagestan from the neighboring Chechnya in September 1999. Only a hundred servicemen became the main pillar holding back the international bandits. This is a story about unity and brotherhood of people of different nationalities and religions who united to protect the homeland and its integrity.

The film tells about the events that saved our great multi-ethnic country avoid collapse. Together, our diverse people and our invincible army formed a united front that led to the revival of great Russia, which continues to this day.
