Charity Foundation "Peri" opens club "Cinema and People" in Dagestan
Makhachkala, July 11, 2016. Ziyavudin Magomedov’s charitable foundation "Peri" and the museum complex "House of Peter the Great in Derbent" have opened the "Cinema and People" club, where every Wednesday, as to the Foundation spokesperson, the guests of the club will show their favorite movies and discuss them with the museum visitors.
Noteworthy, the well-known film directors, architects, scientists, poets and other figures of culture from Dagestan, Moscow and possibly other regions were invited to participate in the solemn opening event.
“We consider these meetings as an opportunity to think about what we really care and see how many ways there are to understand the cinema and to draw inspiration from it. Besides, within the club opening ceremony, the visitors will meet with the filmmaker Magomed Kaziev in Makhachkala and Derbent. Magomed Kaziev is a member of several international film festivals; he lives and works in Moscow.
Kaziev is the author of several multimedia exhibitions and the producer of several documentaries: “Imam Shamil”, “Last path” and “Imam Shamil in Russia” – the spokesperson resumed.
Magomed Kaziev will present a film “Blood” for the first time at the meetings in Derbent and Makhachkala. Kaziev will also tell about his views on cinema and creativity in general.
Recall, that Magomed Kaziev’s short film "Blood" participated in the International Film Festival in Cannes in 2016.
