Dagestan to host II North Caucasian Cultural Forum

On December 1-5, Dagestan will host an event aimed at enhancing the skills of cultural professionals. The II North Caucasian Cultural Forum seeks to promote the adoption of best practices and foster the development of innovative projects that enrich the cultural landscape.

The event focuses on four key domains: theatre, museums, concert performances and libraries. Pyotr Baranov, a board member of the Union of Moscow Artists, who is also an art historian responsible for overseeing the museum program, acts as the Forum curator. Maria Tikhonova, the executive director of Mosconcert  (state budgetary institution of culture of Moscow), will also contribute to the curatorial work.

The forum will bring together over 200 experts from the North Caucasian Federal District and other regions of Russia. Prominent figures who made a significant contribution to the advancement of culture in the country, such as Elizaveta Likhacheva, Director of Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts; Irina Mikhnova, Director of the Russian State Library for Young Adults; Ilya Bachurin, prominent figure of Mosconcert and Yulia Drobot, actress and educator are among the speakers.

This event is supported by the Center for Civil Initiatives Support and is organized in collaboration with the Union of Theater Workers, the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture Rosconcert and Tavrida Art.
