The annual literary contest "PROcity" invites writers from Dagestan, both professional and amateur, to create fictional works in the genres of science fiction and industrial literature. The contest sponsored by Moscow Regional Organization of the Writers' Union will run from May 15 till August 15.

Participants can submit their poems and short stories during this period. The best entries will be compiled in a published anthology. The topic of the competition was inspired by the current state of Russian industry and labor shortages.

Since 2017, PROcity has been an annual competition of literary and visual skills. Its goal is to strengthen interregional creative connections, identify and support talented poets, novelists, graphic artists, and other artists and writers, as well as engage the public in current issues and promote exemplary works of literature and art.

In 2019, the project was nominated for the "Events in Professional Tourism in Russia Award". By 2023, the competition is expected to become international, with more than 300 entries from 45 regions of Russia, Belarus, Israel, Germany, and Uzbekistan, among other countries.
