Famous virtuoso violinist Mikhail Simonyan gives charity concert in Makhachkala

Makhachkala, March 17, 2014. On March 15, famous virtuoso violinist Mikhail Simonyan gave a charity concert in Makhachkala, Daghestani ministry of culture informed RIA "Daghestan".
"Classical music lovers got a lovely gift - famous virtuoso violinist Mikhail Simonyan presented his concert program. The two hours’ evening immersed the guests in the magical world of music and the deep emotions it inspires. Simonyan sounded really impressive while playing the classical music performance called "Seasons", - the source noted.
This is the first time Mikhail Simonyan has been on tour in Daghestan. He has earned a firm reputation of a talented student of the Novosibirsk Music School. Furthermore, Simonyan collaborates with brilliant conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Mikhail Pletnev, Kristjan Järvi, and Leonard Slatkin. He performs at "Carnegie Hall", "Lincoln Center", "Concertgebouw", the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, and the Great Hall of St. Petersburg Conservatory. He also shares the stage with leading orchestras such as the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (USA), the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, and the Russian National Orchestra.
In Makhachkala, Simonyan gave a charity concert. All funds raised that evening will go to the Gassanov Makhachkala Musical College where he held a master class with the best students next day, March 16.
Mikhail Simonyan says he is very happy to visit Daghestan because the region is famous for its unique and diverse culture, "Your children are very talented! I’ll help them bring thes talent to a new international level."
