The XXII International Festival of Folklore and Traditional Culture "Highlanders" has come to the end in Dagestan. The event, dedicated to the Year of the Family in Russia, gathered creative teams and folk craftsmen from different regions of country and abroad, demonstrating the richness and diversity of the cultural heritage of the peoples of Dagestan. The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Dagestan awarded participants of the event with diplomas for their contribution to the preservation and development of national culture. The festival has inspired many and once again demonstrated the government's policy of supporting traditional arts and crafts.
