The prime minister of the Republic of Dagestan Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Southwest Bank Branch of Sberbank of Russia PJSC Anatoly Pesennikov signed a cooperation agreement on the creation of an integrated system of municipal solid waste management.

The agreement was signed at the Sber pavilion on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2024.  The mutual cooperation will provide better access to financing within the framework of the federal project "Integrated System of Municipal Solid Waste Management".

"We are interested in joining forces, first of all, to finance investment projects to construct facilities for the treatment, utilization and disposal of solid municipal waste on the territory of the Republic of Dagestan," Abdulmuslimov said after the agreement signing ceremony. As to Abdulmuslimov this is not the first time the Southwest Branch of Sberbank PJSC collaborates with the regional authorities to address social and economic challenges in Dagestan.
